Set apart from the other gospels, John's gospel resembles the opening of Revelation (for those who read Greek). It's interesting that he plays off Genesis 1:1 in John 1:1. He plays off Daniel 2:28/9 in Revelation 1:1.

John's style is different than all the other biblical authors, yet it is fully inspired and fully inspiring.
